I rarely see a petrol, turbo cars here since Italy taxes based on output and CC's. An actual ///M car here is more rare than a Ferrari or Maserati.

Here in the UK many of the BMW models now only come with AT. All the bigger diesel outputs dropped MT a few years back. Plus most of the 6-cylinder petrol models. Something as common as the 3.0d (330/430d, etc.) has been AT throughout the F3x builds. E9x 3.0d models were the last to have MT and AT available.
Now we are in a period where many models, diesel and petrol, are only available with xDrive and AT.
