Have been reading through this thread and it seems that we are equating "older" with "not as good." I could be wrong, but that's my perception. That said, I think we could all come up with plenty of cars that look older but still have a timeless design. A good example would be the Jaguar E-type or some of the older BMWs. The new BMW, especially the grill, make the previous generation seem slightly older but I'm not so sure it makes it better. I still feel that it's in a wrong direction (even though the new design looks good in certain colors) and it would behoove the company to take another look at the direction and re-prioritize based off what has worked in the past.
