I agree sometime it works in favor of the old model and sometimes the opposite. For me the 996 GT3 has aged well and I appreciate it’s elegance more today than when it was in production. I was in love with the minimalist and butch exterior and interior design of the 993 and never really warmed up to the 996 during it’s production years.
I liked the 997 well enough but when the 991 was launched I marveled over how Porsche could make a design that old look that modern. The 992 leave me cold again. I was like WTF is that, it looks exactly like a 991 with a less attractive body kit. Boo boring.
