Disappointing turn of events as Lucid is looking quite impressive otherwise (with allowing for a year of production first, of course!). The base $69k car versus i4 will be an interesting comparison.

Lucid and Rivian are the two companies I really hope for. The cars they have planned look awesome and I really do hope that they succeed.
Automotive Journalist Jason Camissa has a really interesting podcast on youtube and in one episode he was discussing Lucid and was really praising their team as he got a behind the scenes look at the cars and their development. He said that the head of the company is really devoted to efficiency and their powertrain (especially being that he was the chief engineer of the Model S) and that apparently all the chassis engineers all own vintage/golden-era BMW's (He said it jokingly but I think he was being serious). Either way, I have high hopes for those two.
