And it comes with usable back seats.

Or splurge and get a Cayman GT4.

Or save $30K and buy a used, low mileage C7 Grand Sport with 3LT and Z07 AND 7 speed manual.
You make a very good point. Having owned more Corvettes over the past 53 years starting with the C4 series. One could pick the C8 coupe with the 1LT and Z51 and it will cost $64,995. Now at this price point it is right there with the cost of the M2.

My 2014 Z51 C7 with the 3LT package had a MSRP of 78K. My 2012 C6 Z06 / Z07 had a MSRP around 104K but I was able to get for 25k off MSRP. I still miss that car. Almost bought a low mileage one for 51k several months ago. I am on the hunt for a 1970 / 1971 Cuda with a 340ci or 440ci. But I need to purchase our retirement house first. So depending what is important as far as options one could pick up a new C8 in the 60k range.

I like all cars and motorcycles and I am not brand specific. Before buying my F90 M5 I thought a new Porsche 911 S /GTS was in the cards when I was transitioning from my M3 (F80). The cost of the car (911) played into my decision and after the options I wanted the cost was hovering around 140 - 155k. In addition the wife of 33 years looked at me and said, " You are crazy if you think I am driving to Las Vegas in this car".

I have never been one to wrap my self around lap times. I never track my personal cars. I am a EVOC (Emergency Vehicle Operations Course) Instructor at work, so I get to have some fun on the track during pursuit training having the students chase me around the track while I play the part of the suspect.
