That's not the i4 Concept, that's the i Vision Dynamics study. Note "study" not "concept", so really just a design study without anybody having to worry about actual physics, regulations or other things.

I think I read BMW had a change of heart regarding those early outline i grilles and went with a more traditional styling based on feedback to those studies (i Vision Dynamics and Vision i NEXT)
