Hi there. Only used a microfiber cloth. I thought initially it was a spec of dust but when it didn’t wipe off, I lightly went over it with my fingernail and the color immediately came off as showing in the photo (which leaves me to believe the finish is painted.
Even though the lid trim is an individual part that is easily replaceable, the piece is $200!
I’m hoping to just color those spots back in, but don’t want to use anything like an ink touch up marker that won’t blend in and leave a sheen on the surface.
