Well, the US is only 16% of BMW's YTD global sales (and, at least according to BMW, the new designs are for the US market, not Asia), and within that 16% US total California is, by far, the largest state market.. That said, the US is still BMW ///M's largest market (followed by Germany and then the UK). BMW might prioritize the US for ///M, but not for other sales ...

There's an impression the US is big for BMW, and in some ways it is, but overall the US is about equal to Germany, and much smaller than either the EU or China individually:
