Agreed, but in years past the M3 was often compared to the 911 and often trounced the Porsche.... I guess journalists saw the M3 as a viable competitor, and I think it still is/can be.... The next generation promises to bring them closer than ever, at a reasonable price
(I hope). Speaking of price, I think the CS price point moves the BMW far too close in cost to the 911 but unfortunately the only comparisons I'm aware of (with the Porsche) are with the GTS, a far more expensive entry...I'm rambling....
