Would have liked to see more radical engine design.. Can't see the effort anywhere close to when the S55 first came out.
Why ditch high rpm for low end torque? Can't see any reason other than solely employing AWD for all future M cars. Company moving towards the mundane solution to grip is the last thing I want to see on M cars.
I hoped this would be R&D similar to when S50 was revised to be S54 (better sump, VANOS, and higher piston speed& engine rpm) but this is just the opposite.
M division seriously needs someone at the top who pushes crazy and ingenuous ideas, not this AWDphilia.
