I just googled this and apparently Cadillac has an auto Hold feature as well.. seems like P for Park works perfectly for this scenario.

No. Auto H or Auto hold is a feature that holds the car when it comes to a complete stop and you can let off the brakes. Tap the throttle and it automatically releases.

That's the Auto Hold (for the brakes). Not a Sync button for HVAC.
