Answers to your question is on the F30 forums- engine being the only major difference between F30 and G20. Wheels, tyres and brakes are a transformative experience. For example, stock my setup came as yours, and was mediocre. Changed it for Ray's Japan. Ray's are the best forged aftermarket set worth buying- and Ray's makes BBS and Vorsteiner wheels via its 10,000 ton press but charges 1/3 of the price. That is as, once wheels became bigger than 17", the only press that could do it for the entire segment is located in Japan. Although larger than stock, the Rays wheels were stronger and lighter, saved 25lbs per wheelset vs OEM, migrating to 8.5" front and 9.5" rear, which gave me about several staggered options and 40 tyre combos.. can run 235/265, 235/275, 225/255, 245/275. Then 3D continuous carbon ceramic fibre discs shaved off another 14kg, 31lbs, so the car overall gained .3 s acceleration through those 50lbs of unsprang weight removed. Shackles gone.

With the right tyres, more grip, lighter wheelset, you car will seem like a much faster beast.
