Best response right here. In theory you want to do a proper deep cleaning of your wheels once. Use something aggressive like Sonax Wheel Cleaner and maybe clay them if you can take the wheels off and depending on how many miles the wheels have seen.
Protect your wheels with a good coating and nothing more than soap and water will be needed to clean them up. Again as suggested invest in proper wheel cleaning tools and you're set.
