Bimmercode cannot it is only for changing functionality of certain things in your car (no seat belt chime, turn off ASD, idrive screen settings add items like that) great app but does not make any changes to your engine. You can download the Bimmercode app for free and run it on demo mode on your phone to check out all it can do. I used it on my M340 and a couple others and really like it
To get crackles/pops you will need, a currently unavailable thanks to DME lock, flash tune by someone like Carbauhn, Dinan, Mission Performance, MHD, BM3 to do that. A piggyback like JB4 also will not work.
