I don't hate it... My 981 Cayman was 6mt with an electronic handbrake in the driver's footwell! I guess that's not a real car since it didn't have a proper manual handbrake..... To me, the e-handbrake is whatever. I only use it to park and it's fine; hill hold works well enough (had it in my Cayman and have it in my M2).
The interior is, so far, unoffensive. I'm still curious how the front end is going to look, considering Scott aluded to the fact that the M3 will continue to share the M4's front end, and the word is the 4 series' tall, vertical grills may be controversial.
