The 330d is so torquey. It's a replacement for the 335d. I loved driving my E90 335d. However, after 6 years I had to ditch it. The carbon build up situation in that engine was untenable. I know all direct injection engines have that issue but in the 335d it was compounded by the EGR system. It was also substantially more difficult and expensive to clean that similar petrol CBU on the intake.

In the F30 generation we only got the wimpy diesel (320d rebadged as 328d) and I haven't heard of any plans for a diesel G20 for the US market.

Hopefully BMW has improved the CBU problem in the 330d.
