BBQ and a beer
Just to get my mind of all the car crap and building crap, work crap and crap crap. Thought I'd share
Did a BBQ, nothing special, striploin / chicken kebabs and corn on the cob for 3
And I just REALIZED... wow I can do this anytime I want.
Back home, BBQ's are like for a special occasion, here in NA it's like, every weekend.
And you know something, I fuqing well get it.
I put some charcoal, on, sat out the front of my garage, watched daughter cycle her bike and drank a beer
fuq me, the American dream, well ok Canadian
I didn't use any fancy, woods, or water baths, just meat and a grill, I simply put S&P, splashed on a little garlic liquid, and seared the steak both sides, then just let it cook, I lathered the last couple of turns with butter
The steak was OMG, the ONLY think was, I didnt get a good enough char, and some of the fat (I LIKE FAT) was a bit chewey, so maybe a bit underdone
but the cook, was damn close to mid rare, and that I could deal with it
made sure the steak was a nice thick cut with marbling
damn, I'm gonna do this all year, even winter
