That’s a design I really dislike since it make the wheels look small, gives the car a grasshopper stance and an overall bloated weak look.

However looking at the concept 4 and other recent BMW designs as the M8 and even the X5 BMW use trickery with a character line and metal work creating a visual of a shelf breaking up this section so the ugliness disappears. I think the the M4 use the same trick once the camouflage is gone.

Nice to see that the quad pipes has grown in diameter to a pleasing size.
