Also surprised they still haven't done a power operated wind deflector. The C-Class cab has had one for years, even has an "air-cap" at the top of the windshield to push air out of the cabin.

I get your point.
There are examples of vehicles with straight well defined lines and cars with more subtle lines. But in both cases, as general rule, they flow, connect and contribute to the overall design of the car by defining it as a whole.
This one has two independent lines, that do not connect, the rear one does not put more emphasis on the "hips " to make it more muscular, and that handle belongs to none.
