Exactly as mine. If you try to measure the voltage of the battery you can see that every time you hear those noises the charger drops the voltage and then start to slowly increase it until it reaches 13.10 volts, instead of being stable all the time.
In my case the charge is not efficient and I gain more or less 5% in 8 hours.
I tried both locked and unlocked and the result is the same.
Also, you can try to leave the charger overnight and see if an error message about power management shows up in the morning.
