If you do decide to try a swap, make sure the shop you use has an automated tire changer. The old school tire changers require a lot of physical force from the worker and your wheels don't stand a chance of surviving without being scared.

Your dealer has a more advanced tire changer as is required by BMW. Most dealers have of one of the center clamp tire changers listed on Hunter Engineering website (or the previous generation). If the shop you choose doesn't have one of these, RUN! Many tire shops have upgraded to one of these (or a competitor to Hunter), but many also still have tire changers from the 80s.
