Yeah their material is lighter than others, but that's what makes the youtube generation of car reviewers so great IMO. When everything was in print, sure there were writers who were better than others, but they all had to hit the same points: 0-60, quarter mile, same ride/handling points, etc. Now with the new platforms you have a choice of a relaxed car review like these guys, a wacky guy yelling about quirks and features, something that's really out there like Regular Car Reviews, a more technical SavageGeese review, or just your standard car mag review and everything in between. |
You're right, variety is the spice of life
I give The Straight Pipes a miss however because I don't think they're any good, plain and simple.
