BMW is against the idea of dedicated BEV platforms (which have proven to be more beneficial) and instead have decided to make an ICE platform that can accommodate EV's and PHEV and their production process so they can all be on one assembly line. Most likely a cheaper move. |

Good, looks like they finally came to their senses about dedicated EV platforms. I assume we won't see it until the next generation of cars, as the i4, i7 and iX1 which have been spied already likely share a platform with their ICE counterparts.
