I sort of agree with you. I look at some of the mpg that people get and wonder what they must be doing. I know that there are a huge number of variables, from driving style, speed, tyres, etc etc but even so....
Looking on the app and my trip to the hills and back....
Out split over 2 days
Day 1 - 536 miles @ 31.5 mpg
Day 2 - 246 miles @ 32.7 mpg
I was in a hurry and drove quite speedily. But on the return I was much calmer
Day 1 - 450 miles @ 39.1 mpg
Day 2 - 334 miles @ 37.0 mpg
As soon as you go over something like 70-75mph, mpg nosedives.
