Do you have "native" Spotify on your iDrive? Or are you playing through your phone via bluetooth or Apple CarPlay?
The reason I asked is people overseas (Europe) have access to connected music which uses the car's onboard sim to stream music. In my experience with other car makers, it generally has better music quality than playing through bluetooth etc.
