Isn't most music processed in the studio these days (even live performances get effects added)?! Lip-syncing is fake, but singing through a microphone is very real, unless one relies heavily on auto-tuning.
There's nothing fake about the trapezoid exhaust tips, because they not only vent the exhaust, but are also physically connected. IMO as long as most of the exhaust gas exits through the tips, they are real; whether the tips are welded to the pipe vs the rear bumper is irrelevant. I do detest the fake openings on some Audi's and Acura's.
