The Japanese car design ethic is getting less appealing to me as time goes on.
First gen Lexus LS and GS cars were great looking imo. The first one or two GXs were great. It went downhill from there.
Late 80s Acuras were OK for me. The early 2010s MDX was OK. All of it has gone downhill in my view.
Mazda is a hard no for me.
Subaru is a maybe.
I like what BMW, Porsche and M-B are doing, to greater or lesser extents. Latest VW models are excellent imo.
All of the above comments are related to aesthetics. Reliability is clearly best with Toyota and Honda or rather Lexus and Acura.
M-B is likely one of the least reliable brands in production today. MB seems to be competing with Land Rover for the bottom ranking.
