BMWUSA confirmed back in 2017 that the next gen (G21) would not be imported into the US.

The last F31 was poorly packaged and purposely priced at same level or higher than the US built X3 to keep would be buyers away.

The F31 could only be had with a gas or diesel 2 Liter turbo engine, X Drive and no manual transmission option.

I always like the wagons but was turned off by the specs and the fact that backseats lost some legroom. I almost pulled the trigger on a F-series wagon but it only came with X-drive.

Another thing, leasing is the sales strategy for BMW in the US and wagons really don't fit well into that model. Besides it's elevation which sells in significant numbers these days and our roadways are wide enough to accommodate. CUV, SAV, SUV's blah blah blah.
