There are always those slow adopters.
But if you go back to F8X spy photos, it was actually pretty well liked. People thought the aggressive front end was a nice change. Of course the exhaust note was harped on relentlessly, and still is. But the overall appearance was welcomed.
There are almost no positive comments for the G80, other than it "being different." This diffuser looks like an abomination, not to mention the weird body creases along the trunk and sides.
