Also gotta remember, OP drives a 340i with a stick, he's use to a manual handbrake every time he parks and gets in to drive. A manual handbrake just feels more assuring and in a sense engaging than a electronic parking brake which can sometimes be hard to get used to. |

Yes, but how many people with automatic transmissions use their hand/e-brakes? I was just saying as a manual transmission owner myself, we use a handbrake numerous times a day, so changing to an e-brake can feel weird. |
Yeah I stopped using my handbrake awhile ago. Just easier to shift out if park and go without also releasing hand brake.
