BMW kidneys has been allover the place in terms of dimensions and geometry. They've been tall, narrow wide, separated, connected etc. The F-series kidneys are not a template for how a BMW is a BMW. The original 3 the E21 had tall, narrow and connected grills as an example. Golfer or Beaver?

Yes a valid point indeed. These fit the design in my opinion. Perhaps it's being accustomed to seeing them in such a way.

With the sleek design of the 4 concept I don't see the grills fitting the rest of the cars design cues.
