there's nothing wrong to have those apps if you use them not for its intended purpose (often, at least) but for the purpose it transformed to. both men and women use it for validation nowadays it's rare to hear anyone go on any dates from it or get laid through it...

Yep, that's the issue, especially during COVID.
People use the apps for validation since they have been alone for so long, and just want to chat and waste time. They get pissed when you actually want to meet up and get to know them. Sorry I have a busy full-time job and texting someone every day for 3 months with no intention of meeting makes no sense haha.
