The iDrive reboots, and the Apps begin to populate. Some will be still be missing. Before going into the apps page, when the highlighted section is on 'Installed Apps', press the 'Option' button on the iDrive controller and select the 'Update Apps and Services' option. My weather and news apps were then loaded (although the news didn't have data right away).
