Van Hooydonk said the diffuser design will be common to future BMWs... Really? Why don't they just drop a single proper diffuser in the middle? Doubt if there are any aerodynamic benefits of having two small diffusers closer to corners.

BMW's press release in the OP says "estimated EPA range of 270 miles." I'd be shocked if it got 310 miles of range from its 80 kWh battery.
