Power dome is not iconic BMW M thing as it didn't exist until 2008.

Iconic M things are the kidneys, staggered setup, fender flares, quad exhaust, and a mix of sportiness and DD; they're all here. They're actually even more emphasized in this design. This M3 will have one of the most the most iconic M3 designs ever, the other two were E30 and E46 IMO. G82 far looks more distinguishable from 3 series than it ever did, it's bolder, meaner, and it looks like it's ready to eat the roads and anything driving on the left lane.
Eeverything you mention has once been introduced to the M cars over a time....and something that has been on the Ms for 12 years and multiple generations becomes an „icon" somehow IMO
Or did the very first Ms also had quad exhaust?

I didn't say anything that this car won't be iconic or good or whatever...it just loosing the „classy & subtle" approach...and this is was BMW meant to me...their cars never had to follow any wierd trend or extreme designs to look good...

If I look at the hood in this pic, it looks for me like a cheap japan tuning aftermarket part that I would order on an Honda Type R...but I would never say previously that it is a BMW part...

But tastes are different, and this is good.
