Adding any convenience options really pushes the cost of the C8 up. Their low starting price is kind of a ploy. They know few people will get the base model. The Supra can be purchased fully loaded for under $56k. A few options packages easily pushes the C8 past $70k.

I think the C8 will be a far better performance car, but the Supra will be a better daily driver. Also, $10k is not nothing. Consider that GM has come out and said that the $60k base price is only sticking around for 1 or 2 years. It will go up a significant amount after that. Most likely it will be a nearly $65k car in a couple years.

I'm not sure why so many people make it seem like the Supra is such a bad deal. It's basically a sportier Z4 with nearly the same interior quality and costs a lot less. It has comparable performance to a base boxster and Z4 M40i and costs a lot less than either of those cars.

It just goes to show that most people only do care about the badge.
