Yes, my set up square and at the time of my order if you wanted go flat 18" wheels that was the only option. My car has Pirelli P7s BTW.

I now have 17k on the car and have had ZERO traction issues what so ever. Car handles just fine and tires still look brand new (go ask folks with 19 & 20" wheels to see how their tires are holding up)

If you push any car hard enough you will lose traction eventually. I have pushed these tires on hard corners many times in Seattle's rainy days and have had no problem or major scare.

This car is my daily and I am still enjoying its comfort and also loving the fact that I have a spare in the back as a piece of mind. I have been stuck on the side of the road on a holiday weekends way too many times to trust BMW road side assistance and the canister they give you.

I honestly think you made the right choice. If you get bored with the 18", you can always purchase a nice set of wheel & tire package for summer months.
