People get bent out of shape because the exhaust is not attached to the trapezoid exit and therefore must be "fake". Personally I think it looks great, you can really notice it's not attacked unless your face is shoved inside the opening and frankly I wonder if this design will mean a cleaner exhaust opening as in less soot.
