Is BM3 still more power OOB than MHD? Help, need to pick one by Nov 26...

Hello,

(sorry, here goes again, comparing these two options)

https://g20.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...67&postcount=2

states back in Feb 2020,

Quote:
in terms of power out of the box, bm3 and Jb4 offers the most.
MHD is more conservative.
I would like to run following fuels,

a) Shell 93 octane (E10)
b) Race 100 octane
c) E30 mixture with Shell 93 Octane + Sheetz Ethanol

, with setup i have:

Active Autowerke high flow catted downpipe and DINAN free flow axle-back exhaust system.

Eventually i may go with flex-fuel system also haven't decided between MHD and BM3 which of their flex-fuel system i end up going with.

But until then i will have to switch maps manually depending on fuel in the tank.

But for now, i need to pick one by Nov 26.

Finding hard to compare between BM3 and MHD since they are both comparable, in both OTS maps, flashing capability (more or less) and logging (eg. knock sensor, WOT %, etc.), custom tuning support.

BM3 seems to be little more mainstream than MHD, although MHD has been around lot longer i think than BM3.

My pre-sale support experiences just Q&A's with BM3 folks have been good. MHD, not so good. I'm hoping both are good at technical support follow throughs.

Local tuner that supports both MHD and BM3 is pointing me to BM3.

I just want to make "safe" power all the way to stage 2.

BM3?

MHD?

Help me choose, please............

Thanks.
