That's just to throw people off and to cover the car to hide stuff. The one in the current E/S Class doesn't have bezels that big so it's hard to believe the bezels will stick around.
That heads up display looks absolutely MASSIVE though.

The speedo gauges look like the bezel is being covered up, but I don't know...the center stack looks to be finished. Could be wrong but I wouldn't be surprised.
