Well it depends on what the market is doing. If you look at competitors, you see similar trends in price difference between the S4 and S5, and the C43 sedan vs. coupe. So this price premium ($1,800 premium on the bare bones m440i xdrive vs. m340i xdrive) is perfectly in line, and in fact more conservative, than both Audi and Mercedes.
