To me, it needs to get rid of gimmicky tech that doesn't add to the driver experience. The live cockpit for example, whatever R&D was used on that should be scrapped in favor of improving the steering feel and chassis dynamics. It should be the benchmark and it just isn't.
Also, get rid of the awful piped in engine noise, or at least give us the option to turn it off. It sounds terrible in the 4 cylinder models in my opinion.
The idrive was already the benchmark, they didn't need to redo it, and I'd argue idrive 6 is the superior system.
I'd also stop obsessing with making the car bigger. There is just no need for it, it's big enough!
