I personally am kinda OCD so I understand why you'd want to keep your trunk as open as possible, but do you actually ever use the full capacity of the trunk? Also, if you needed to expand trunk space, you could always move the spare to the back seat or plan ahead and remove it if you have to pick someone up from the airport or something.
Also, I'm curious. Would you be able to send a picture of what it looks like? I've heard the G30 is able to close normally without the spare installed.
