My guess is the video is meant to show how the general public as well as car enthusiast often views a new design on its debut. At first (to many) it's yuck.
but then after time it grows on them. With that said..I agree I would not want that grill on my e46 or my F80. But...that has a lot to do with how damn good the past E46 and current F 80/82 front end looks.
