I will say I'm pleasantly pleased with the passive suspension on my M340. I thought it may be too stiff for daily city driving but it's actually quite livable so far.
It's stiff yes, but it's not like a jolting stiff. It handles bumps well and filters out a lot more than I anticipated. Didn't get the chance to drive an M340 with the Adaptive (only 330i's) so don't have much to compare against.
I will opt for this option on my next vehicle though!
