If you are good at detailing and are patient you can do it yourself. Your car has to be ultra clean and free of swirls. As far the ceramic coating, it depends how long you want it to last . There ones that last a few months up to 2 years. I have used The LastCoat which is easy to apply lasting up to 6 months and I have use CQuartz UK 3.0 followed by Gliss. Both of the last ones are CarPro products. Both are very good. If you have the time , use the CQuartz with gliss . The shine and smoothness is amazing. Also there are many helpful tutorials and reviews of these and other products on YouTube. Personally I use all CarPro products, I like them best, just use what you like , try a few , it does get pricey. But so is the car , I like to take good care of mine. Good luck
