Isn't the front number plate going to be put in front of it? In which it will hide it to some extent so maybe then it won't look quite as bad?
I still think bmw will revise things if the sales figures tank for it, if it still sells I can't see them going away from this.
It might be argued that they are going back to much older cars that had a tall kidney grill.
Either way don't like it personally and if I had to buy one would opt for a dark colour car , make the grill black and at least here in Europe there will be a number plate on the front to hide it to some degree
