I have went through a number of products over the years (Lexol, BMW's brand, etc) and this has always worked the best. Three stage system which leaves leather as soft as it was brand new along with a matte finish.

Tip- after each stage and fully drying, wipe with a damp cloth prior to moving on/finishing. I used it on my 19' 330i. Actually after a week of a loaner 330, first thing I noticed getting back in my car is that the wheel felt newer.

I am also a freak about car cleaning and upkeep so this may be overkill for most - just cannot stand when things like the steering leather is beaten to death and super shiny on the top edge cause skin oil/lotion/dirt/cleaning products with silicone are used.
