When I was in high school in the late 90s low 14 and high 13 second cars were pretty darn quick. It's plenty to get you into trouble and more than enough to safely merge and pass. We are spoiled today.

I agree. My E90 with 181,000 miles is still running great and not nickel and dimming me yet, but will probably go with a 340 when I do replace it in the next year or two. |
I'm doing the same and just ordered an M340xi to replace my E90 335i (13.5 yrs of ownership). I haven't thought the previous generations were worth the upgrade but after driving the M340, my opinion has changed. Cheers!
