Was at my dealer to test drive a 2023 M440i GC XDrive this past Saturday...my dealership finally got one in...good to see dealers getting some inventory.

They also had a 2023 X4 M40i and they suggested I also take it for a test drive. I'm not an SUV guy. I have to say that I was impressed with that X4 M40i. Boy it drove like a sedan...the car really wraps around you. Impressive.

So after test driving both back to back...which I thought would lead me to a no way on the X4 M40i...I'm actually considering it.

I don't need to place my order until July as I don't need the car until October.

I know the 2024 M440i GC is now out with iDrive 8.

Does anyone know when the 2024 X4 M40i will be out...is it also getting iDrive 8?

Although the iDrive 7 in the X4 M40i really worked well and the shifter and buttons were done well...nothing hit me as screaming dated.
